Refund and Returns Policy

Effective Date: September 1, 2025

At Wabash River Reptiles, we want every customer to be confident in their purchase. Please read our policy carefully before placing an order.


1. Live Animals

  • All sales of live animals are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges on animals due to the stress and health risks involved.
  • We provide a Live Arrival Guarantee if:
    • The Buyer is present to receive the package on the first delivery attempt.
    • Shipping temperatures are within safe ranges at both origin and destination.
    • The Buyer provides correct and complete shipping information.
  • Any issues must be reported within 2 hours of delivery, with clear photo or video evidence.
  • Once an animal is delivered safely, the Buyer assumes full responsibility for its care, health, and well-being.
  • We do not offer refunds for issues related to improper husbandry, enclosure setup, or failure to follow care guidelines.

2. Dry Goods & Supplies

  • Non-live products (e.g., enclosures, accessories, dry goods) may be eligible for return within 14 days of delivery.
  • To qualify, items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the Buyer unless the item arrived damaged or defective.
  • Once we receive and inspect the return, a refund will be issued to the original payment method (minus shipping fees).

3. Order Cancellations

  • Orders for live animals cannot be canceled once shipping arrangements have been made.
  • Orders for supplies may be canceled prior to shipment. Once shipped, they fall under the return policy above.

4. Damaged or Incorrect Items

  • If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos.
  • We will replace the item or issue a refund at our discretion.

5. Non-Refundable Items

  • Live animals (except under the Live Arrival Guarantee).
  • Gift cards or store credit.
  • Special order or custom-built enclosures/products.
