Shipping & Local Pickup

Wabash River Reptiles and Aquatics ships eligible live animals, non-frozen feeders, and supplies to addresses within the contiguous United States. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii. Local pickup is available for eligible orders.

Coverage: Shipping is limited to the contiguous United States. Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, and military or diplomatic addresses are not supported.

One Cart

Eligible live animals, non-frozen feeders, and supplies may be added to the same cart. Checkout organizes the required packages internally.

One Final Shipping Amount

When more than one package is required, checkout combines the package costs and presents one customer-facing shipping amount.

Animal Safety First

Live animals use next-day air and leave only on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday when weather, route, legal, and carrier conditions are acceptable.

How Shipped Orders Are Handled

Checkout reviews each cart item and applies the fulfillment rules required for live animals, feeders, and supplies.

  • Live animals: Next-day air only, with outbound shipping scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
  • Non-frozen feeders: May travel with a live-animal package when packaging space and animal-safety rules allow; otherwise they are assigned to a separate non-live package.
  • Supplies and dry goods: May use ground, second-day, or next-day service when those options are available during checkout.
  • Frozen feeders: Local pickup only because dry-ice shipping is not currently offered.
  • Final price: When multiple packages are necessary, checkout combines the shipping charges into one displayed amount.

Local Pickup

Most items are available for local pickup unless the product page or checkout states otherwise. Customers choosing pickup must select Local Pickup and choose an available date and time.

  • Frozen feeders are currently local pickup only.
  • Product-specific restrictions still apply.
  • Pickup details are provided through the checkout workflow.
  • Orders should not be collected before pickup confirmation.

Weather Holds, Ship Days & Safety

Live animals will not be shipped when forecasted route temperatures are above 85°F or below 45°F. Live animal shipping is paused from December 1 through January 15 because holiday carrier volume increases delay risk.

  • Live animal packages leave Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday only.
  • Unsafe temperatures, severe weather, carrier disruption, or route risk may delay shipment.
  • Customers will be contacted when a live shipment must be held.

Destination Laws & Customer Responsibility

Shipping availability does not override state, county, city, or municipal law. Customers are responsible for confirming that each animal is lawful to possess and receive at the destination.

  • Review the product listing and applicable laws before ordering.
  • Provide accurate phone, email, and delivery information.
  • Be available to receive the shipment or follow carrier pickup instructions.
  • Checkout may block an order that is not eligible for the selected destination or fulfillment method.
Destination Coverage

Contiguous United States Only

Eligible orders may be shipped to residential or approved carrier destinations in the 48 contiguous states. Alaska and Hawaii are excluded. Final eligibility depends on the products ordered, applicable law, weather, carrier service, and checkout validation.
